THAT'S CRAFTY!

I know you are very excited to see what the talented teamies made so without a further ado...

Hi all!
I really like that this time, the flight of my imagination did not restrict any kind of condition.
Probably the approach of autumn, dictated the colour scheme of my work. I really wanted my notebook was bright as autumn leaves. The notebook is made from zero. Its size A6.

My project for this month challenge is an ATC set. I have used Brusho crystals for the background and a lot of mediums.

This month I have a little journal I made for my daughter who is engaged to be married.  I found an old water-damaged book at a thrift store and removed the cover.  I used a variety of products and techniques on the pages inside the little book, including ink, acrylic paint, stencils, stamping and light modeling paste. Using a Zutter Bind-It-All machine, I put the journal and its prepared pages together.  The final  touch was the addition of a chain with charms clipped to the top of the spiral binding.

Maria
This time I decided to go grunge and made some ATC with steampunk elements...

Torsa
Hi friends,
This month our theme is Anything Goes in Mixed Media !! I have created a layout on a Wood !!

I always wanted to prepare an interior design accessory with scrapbooking techniques. The time has come now. I couldn't find a breadbox that fits to the style of our house so I decided to prepare my own design. I would like to show you the result.

As always, you totally smashed it, Ladies! Thank you for all of your hard work on these projects. They are amazing!

So I hope you're feeling inspired and decide to give it a go yourself. Have fun and we'll be back to announce the winners of our last challenge soon! Stay tuned!

All the best,

Ingrid and the amazing DT Ladies! xxx

We have some amazing inspiration for you from the fabulous Design Team. Leslie and Virag are taking some time off this month. Please wish them all the best for they need to feel the love right now. Lots of love from me to you both! xxx

The rest of the team have been busy and more creative than ever. Please see for yourself...

Hi all! I saw the peacock feather on the mood Board and decided to make a canvas with this lady.

Ingrid
Please come back on 27th August 2017, 7:30pm to view a tutorial ;)

This month our mood board has peacock feather. I have created a canvas(40/40 cm) where I have used a stencil, modelling paste and acrylic paints. I painted this peacock myself and I hope to inspire you.

Maria
For our August challenge I made a tiny little book. The notebook's size is just 4x3 cm. My inspirations were two upper pictures - I combined the peacock feathers and the dew drops. The notebook is made from zero - the cover, the cabouchon, the binding - all made by me with lots of love for miniature art.

Torsa

Guest Designer: AnastasiaElena

Hey crafty peeps!

I hope you are all well and keeping busy!

We are joined by a very talented lady today and one of our previous winners, AnastasiaElena! She is here to share her project with us and what a gem it is...

Hi mixed media lovers!

Today with you AnastasiaElena. I am very excited to be a guest designer!

I live in Saint-Petersburg(Russia), it's located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.

Scrapbooking is my passion for several years. This is my relaxation and my way to express my emotions. I love to make layouts, tags, canvases, altered objects and really
like to reuse old things. My latest passion is ATC's. It's so fun to create little stories on small pieces.
In the last couple of years I prefer the style mix of media. I adore sprays, pastes, paints, inks, hot embossing etc.

I love Summer more than other times of the year and I made a postcard about the Northern Summer. Our summer is not so colorful and unfortunately it has not many warm days. So in my work more dreams and fantasies).

I used laces for background and color up them of sprays and dry pigments. For painting shells I used products from the Finnabair Art Alchemy series.
I like to use wire in my works and in this work I made a sailboat out of it.

Awesome! Awesome and more awesomeness! We really love your postcard, AnastasiaElena and thank you for sharing it here with us! Hopefully we see you around!

Thank you for stopping by, everyone! I hope you enjoyed today's post. We'll be back next week with a new challenge so prepare for some more mixed media inspiration!

All the best!

Guest Designer: Nora Paolini

Hi everyone!

We have a special guest with us today! One of our recent winners, Nora Paolini, has joined us to share her beautiful art with us...

I am Nora from Uruguay, South America. After a few years of getting my law degree, I met an Italian guy, who would become my husband. Therefore, I moved to Italy, in 2007. Massi and I live in a small town, in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region, with our doggie Lucky. I love photography, travelling and reading. Two years ago, I found a new passion of crafting, and I have been learning techniques and experimenting since then. I love mixed media and altered art.

I took a plain wooden heart and made some stencilling with modeling paste. Then, I glued down on top of it some flowers, chipboards and art stones. The letters and hearts chipboards are from Scrapmatts. I used some DecoArt crackle paint. I coloured everything using acrylic paints (metallic and glossy); DecoArt fluids (Prussian blue hue and raw sienna). Finally, I applied some DecoArt metallic lustre (brilliant turquoise).

And a few close ups...

Thank you very much, Nora! Your altered heart is absolutely stunning! We hope to see more of your art via our challenges!

And thank you for stopping by, everyone! Don't forget, there is still time to enter the current challenge HERE. You do not have to go with the twist, it is optional, so let your imagination fly high and create something amazing!

Good luck! Stay creative!

Video Tutorial by Inna Bronnikova -Transparent tag with dried herbs

Hi

It's Inna Bronnikova with you today, presenting my video tutorial.
I decided to make a tag. I cut out 2 sides of the tag from the  zipper pocket so that the pocket was in the middle of it.

Inside the tag, I put a stamp with herbs and glued the dried grass, played a little bit with alcoholic ink.

Outside the tag, I used a texture with glossy accent and pigments. Sprinkled glossy glitter.
I stitched the tag around the perimeter on the sewing machine, cut off the excess and decorated it.

I hope you enjoy my tutorial. Hugs Inna
